How to distinguish German and UK pressing when you can't open the case and check CD-hole? Example, you are in the music store or you see the CD you want on the auction. You have to decide by yourself which pressing is offered because it is so usual when sellers sell German CDs as UK pressings and vice versa. Some of them insist that they sell CD from the country where it was previously bought but their assessment is most often very superficial. In UK can be sold German pressings and in Germany can be sold UK pressings - it's nothing special, but we want to have in our collections exactly these CDs which origin is sure for us. In the music store you can find the answer when you see back side of the single but on the auction you have to count on seller's good will who can show you appropriate picture. So then what? Visible "Made in Germany" solves the problem? Unfortunately not...

That's why we made some efforts to show you details which are different for German and UK pressings! But rememeber! If you have any chance to see a CD-hole, then do it! Explanations given below are relevant only when you are in the music store and you look at sealed copy or you see accurate picture on the auction.

Our review starts with the "Justify My Love" because it's the very first CD single which was pressed in UK and Germany at the same time (previous European CDs were made only in Germany). We present differences in the printing of the inserts, CDs and we pay attention to the characteristic inscriptions appearing on the German editions.
